Ritu, one of the Partners at Kendrick View, qualified in 1985 from Birmingham University and joined the practice a year later. She is married to a GP and has three sons. Patients describe her as not only gentle and caring but artistic too. Ritu has a great understanding of all aspects of general dentistry and can therefore give an unbiased opinion on necessary treatment.

A full member of the ‘British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry’ and a member of the ‘British Society of Occlusal Studies’, Ritu is forward thinking and keeps abreast of latest techniques such a laser technology.

Ritu has an interest in charity work and annually treats children suffering in the aftermath of the Chernobyl disaster. She was also the lead partner in helping the practice to achieve the coveted Investor in People award and also instrumental in our winning the ‘Best Dental Team’ award in the UK.

Andrew grew up in London, qualifying as a dentist from University of Wales College of Medicine in 2000. Following a year working in a Specialist Restorative Practice in Cardiff, he undertook his basic training in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery.

He continued postgraduate education both in the UK and USA, completing a postgraduate Diploma in Restorative Dental Practice at the Eastman Dental Institute in London and holds a Master’s degree in dental Implantology from the University of Sheffield. He was invited to be a fellow of the Academy of Dentofacial Aesthetics in New York in 2012.

Andrew has a keen interest and accepts referrals in Restorative, Cosmetic, Implant dentistry and Orthodontics. Outside dentistry he is a keen sportsman and enjoys skiing, sailing, cooking and travelling.

Kiran is passionate about dentistry and refining his craft.

After graduating as a Doctor of Dental Medicine with distinction, commitments to the profession led to the Royal College of Surgeons awarding him Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties.

In a bid to offer his patients advanced and comprehensive restorative care, Kiran is undertaking the eminent Restorative MSc at the Eastman Dental Institute, UCL. Striving to cultivate a relaxed and open environment, patients have embraced his calm and informative approach to clinical dentistry.

Aside from clinical practice, Kiran is married and enjoys spending time with his family. He also enjoys photography and is a keen sportsman.


Restorative Dentistry MsC

Param lives in Egham and trained at Kings College Hospital, London in 2015 and is currently doing the restorative Dentistry MsC at the Eastman Dental Institute.

Working closely with nervous and anxious patients at a sedation clinic in Slough, Param has showed great empathy and will be a valuable addition to our team.

Param is family orientated and in his spare time enjoys playing hockey for Teddington HC.

Having qualified at the University of Sheffield in 1985, Nicola has been an associate dentist at Kendrick View since 1987. She has a wealth of experience in all aspects of General Practice, frequently attending courses and seminars to keep up to date with new techniques. Nicola is also a member of British Society of Occlusal Studies. Beyond her work at the practice, she is a keen tennis player.

Afif , who went to Reading School, qualified in 2006 and after completing his vocational training in Rotherham he returned to Reading. Afif is keen and energetic and has taken every opportunity to progress with his dentistry. He is particularly interested in Cosmetic Dentistry, Root Canal Therapy and Prevention and has experience with nervous and phobic patients.

Mehdi joined Kendrick View in May 2012 and is originally from London. It was here that he was educated at St Paul’s school and later graduated from Guy’s hospital in December 1990.

After two years in a busy NHS/Private practice, Mehdi worked in hospital as a Senior House Officer in Orthodontics and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He performed routine surgical procedures and assisted in major oncological surgery including free flaps and hip grafts.

Mehdi then went on to complete his Master’s course in Conservative Dentistry (crown and bridgework) at the renowned Eastman Dental Institute in 1997.

For the past eleven years, Mehdi has worked within a private practice in Knightsbridge and South Kensington. Here he has carried out advanced cosmetic procedures as well as routine general dentistry.

During this period, Mehdi taught undergraduate students at Guy’s Hospital as a Clinical Demonstrator. He also worked as a Senior Dental Surgeon for companies including Marks and Spencer, Glaxo and Shell International.

Mehdi has a particular interest in cosmetic, aesthetic and all forms of restorative dentistry.


BDS University of London LDS DGDP (Qualified UK)

“We aim to take the bite out of head and neck pain”

Originally from Blackpool and having qualified at Guy’s Hospital, University of London, in 1976, Mark came to Kendrick view in 1978 and became a partner in 1980. As well as general and cosmetic dentistry he has developed considerable skills in occlusion, treating patients with problem bites and with head and neck pain related to their bite (TMD).

He now teaches these skills to fellow dentists through courses organised at Kendrick View. He is well known and respected in local and national dental circles, with memberships including The British Dental association, Newbury Study Group, the British Society for Occlusal Studies, for whom he runs courses and the American Equilibration Society, where he has been a Board member and the UK representative.

Mark has now stepped back from general dentistry and the partnership after 40 years. He is now working with us as an associate, concentrating on his specialist interest in occlusion (TMD).

Visiting Specialists



“Our standards mean other practices come to us for advice”

Kash qualified from King College in London in 1985, He went on to do further post graduate qualifications both in General Practice and in Hospital. Awarded a Master of Science Degree in Implant Dentistry at Guys Hospital in London in 2000 with distinction. In 2003, he was accredited as a Specialist in Prosthodontics.

Kash is an extremely experienced prosthodontist, having been working exclusively in this field for over 15 years, during which time he has established himself in a number of specialist referral practices. He is currently an examiner for the Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, works at the Chelsea/Westminster Hospital (craniofacial department) and in referral specialist practices.



Past Consultant in Periodontology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Foundation Trust

Omar qualified in 2003 from the University of Glasgow, winning the prize for conservative dentistry as an undergraduate. In 2005, he became a practice principal and subsequently a vocational trainer with the responsibility of training newly qualified dentists. He was awarded the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners, Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2007 and the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2008.

Whilst working in general practice, he undertook advanced training in restorative dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute, completing the Certificate in Restorative Dental Practice in 2008. He was a Consultant and Registrar in Periodontology at Guy’s Hospital, London, undertaking all aspects of periodontal therapy including surgical, non-surgical, muco-gingival and implant therapy.

As well as providing periodontal care at the practice, he has a special interest in the association between periodontal disease and diabetes. In 2015, he received the Ron F. Wilson postgraduate research award from King’s College London for clinical research and has presented his research internationally.

He was awarded the position of Examiner for the Licence in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons, England, the oldest continuously existing dental qualification in the United Kingdom.



BChD University of Pretoria (Qualified South Africa)

Joe qualified at University of Pretoria in 1978 and did 2 years National Service as a dental officer in the South African Army. He then bought a practice in Bethlehem in the Eastern Free State where he practiced for fifteen years before moving to Franschhoek in the Cape for three years.

In 1998 Joe moved to the United Kingdom and worked in a mixed NHS/Private practice in Newbury, Berkshire for six years. Joe has always had a keen interest in Endodontics and worked alongside the acclaimed Chris Stock in Fleet for four months.

Following this Joe completed a course at the Eastman Hospital 2004/05 taking over the practice in Fleet from Chris Stock in September 2004.

Most of Joe’s working week is at his practice in Fleet which is limited to Endodontics and on Tuesdays he can be found at Kendrick View. Joe welcomes referrals from other GDP.

When not looking after teeth Joe has an interest in rugby, cricket and gardening. He is also enjoys his grandchildren and has a reputation as being pretty good at the BBQ.


Richard graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2012 and has been working in the England since. Initially working within the NHS system as a general dentist, Richard gained great experience and developed a keen interest in endodontics (root canal treatment). In 2015 he successfully applied for and started his specialist endodontic training in Guy’s Dental Hospital.

This training sees Richard working in Guy’s Hospital 2 days a week, where he treats referred patients, is involved in the teaching undergraduate students and is undertaking clinical research. This training is due to be completed in 2019, at which point Richard will be registered on the specialist list.

Outside of his specialist training, Richard works in private practice limited to endodontics 3 days a week.

Richard has also previously worked at the internationally renowned Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, as part of the maxillo-facial team from 2013-2014 where he gained surgical experience.

Prior to qualifying as a dentist Richard attained a degree in Business and Law from University College Dublin, taking a particular interest in the law relating to medical and dental practice.

Away from his work and studies he is a keen traveller, reader and sports fan, and tries to get to the Stoop to watch Harlequins play when possible.

Oral Surgery


BDS, MFDS RCS (Eng) FFD RCSI (Ire) Oral Surgery with Oral Medicine

After completing his under graduation from India, Raj has spent several years in post- graduate education in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Royal London Hospital, Leeds university Hospital, Mid Yorkshire Hospital Wakefield and Queen’s Hospital Romford. His post-graduate training in the United Kingdom has provided extensive exposure in the field of oral surgery, and was awarded the membership from the Royal College of Surgeon’s England and successfully attained Fellowship from the Royal College of surgeon’s Ireland in oral surgery with oral medicine, confirming his academic knowledge and experience in the field.

He has published a number of articles in peer reviewed journals, and delivers periodic lectures in oral surgery including current hot topics like medicine related osteonecrosis of the jaw, managing patients with new oral anticoagulants etc.

Raj conducts minor oral surgery course for Thames valley deanery across Berkshire Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire for General Dentists aimed to boost the confidence to carry out simple to complex extraction effectively including how to identify risks and manage complications in general practice.

He also teaches newly qualified Dentists in the dental foundation training programme in regards to identifying and managing oral soft tissue lesions including potentially malignant disorders for the Thames valley deanery.

Raj is happy to provide advice and take referrals for extractions and other minor oral surgical procedures under local anesthetics.

We believe strongly in the importance of effective oral hygiene and the role it plays in the prevention of dental disease.

Our hygienists – Julie Lunn, who heads the team with Katy Bennett, & Lucy Flower work closely with the dentists to develop the best programme for each patient. They all have a keen interest in promoting good oral cleaning and each has her own loyal patient following.

Zara Taylor graduated in July 2015 from the University of Portsmouth and enjoyed all aspects of patient care throughout her 3 years of training. Zara has particular interests in Periodontics and helping patients to maintain their smile with a strong focus on prevention.

Zara will be working with us on a Friday 8-2pm and Saturday 9-1pm.

Our team of fully qualified dental nurses are all registered with the General Dental Council. The nurses have undergone extensive training to ensure that they have the knowledge and expertise to care for our patients and maintain the expected high standard of cleanliness.

Claire started at Kendrick View in October 1994 as Dr Hargreaves nurse. Qualifying 4 years previously at Maiden Lane Dental Practice, Claire was already experienced in her field. She left in 2004 to have her first child Sophie, and Oliver came along 2 years later. Returning to work in 2010 to work alongside Chris Barker, Claire also works with our Specialist Prosthodontist Kash Ubhi as his Implant nurse, attending an Implant training course in London to support this role. Claire’s conscientious and calming nature puts our patients at ease.

In her spare time Claire enjoys spending quality time with her family, outside on walks and gardening when the weather allows. Her chief diversion is Yoga which Claire has practiced for many years.


Chelsea started with Kendrick View in February 2012 working alongside Afif Hanif. Chelsea went on to pass her dental nurse qualification in 2014. After a few years she was given the opportunity to work with one of the partners, Ritu Maini. You will also see Chelsea nursing on occasional Saturdays. Passing her first aid training course, Chelsea is now our appointed person alongside Afif. Her hard working, conscientious nature is well received by staff and patients.

Chelsea really does embrace life and we always look forward to hearing her weekend antics on a Monday morning; from bungee jumping, to theatre trips, to hot air balloon rides.

Reception & Admin

“You will always be greeted with a warm smile”

Our experienced reception team understands the importance of first impressions and their part in ensuring that our patients feel welcome. They have been selected by the practice because of their commitment to offering patients good service.


Hannah joined Kendrick View in May 1993 working as a trainee dental nurse. Hannah gained her qualification in nursing in 1995 but found herself swaying towards the front desk as a receptionist/administrator. Hannah has kept her hand in nursing over the years, working alongside Dr Barker and Dr McDonnell and also covering surgery when needed.

Hannah has a natural aptitude for her job and has built a trusting relationship with many of our patients. Working closely with Dr McDonnell as his Implant treatment co-ordinator, Hannah liaises with patients throughout their treatment.

Hannah enjoys spending time with her partner and daughter, walking the family dog Cassius and has an ardent interest in food.


Amy joined the Kendrick View team in July 2001. Working firstly as a trainee dental nurse, Amy soon decided she preferred a role on the front desk as a receptionist/administrator. She gained her nursing qualification in 2002 and has kept her registration, helping out in surgery when needed. Amy’s bubbly, enthusiastic personality ensures that each patient receives a warm welcome. You will see Amy during the week but also on a Saturday morning working alongside Dr Maini, Dr McDonnell and the hygienists.

Amy and her husband Barry have two children and have recently added to their family with their Cavachon Jimmy. Spending time with friends and family is of upmost importance to Amy.

Practice Manager

Judith Chandler

“Working from reception keeps me in touch with our patients”

Judith is at the heart of our practice – no wonder, since she joined as a receptionist in 1972. She has excelled at every support position and this has given her an unrivalled insight into the needs of our patients, our staff and our dentists. Her ready smile, positive attitude and sympathetic ear have endeared her to many of our patients over the years – attributes she maintains whilst managing a team of ten dentists, four hygienists and fifteen supporting members of staff.

The entire team at Kendrick View is dedicated to increasing their knowledge and all complete regular continued professional development.

Financial Administrator

Angela Cox

Angela joined Kendrick View in 2002 as the Financial Administrator. As the practice has expanded and developed Angela has taken on more responsibility and now works almost full time.

Angela is responsible for all financial aspects of Kendrick View including salaries, partner’s accounts and payments to our associates and hygienists. Working closely with the company accountants she also ensures the practice finances are in order.

Although patients rarely get to meet Angela as her role is away from the public she nevertheless plays a vital role in the success of Kendrick View and its people.

Socially Angela enjoys the Mod scene and frequently attends scooter rallies, concerts and festivals.
