A comprehensive approach

We believe in a high quality, comprehensive approach to dental care, which starts with your routine check up. It gives us a chance to regularly check your mouth and prevent any potential problems before they get any worse and need more costly and involved treatment down the line.

Your routine examination is also a great chance for us to listen to any concerns you may have and help you make informed decisions about your dental care.

What will my dental examination involve?
1

Questions

Initially, we ask you a little about your general health and any medications you may be taking, as these can have an affect on your oral wellbeing. We are very happy to answer any questions you may have and help you feel relaxed and comfortable in our care.

2

Assessment

The main part of your appointment will be a full check and assessment of your mouth, looking for signs of decay, infection or any abnormalities. We also examine your bite and perform an oral cancer check as standard.

3

X-rays

We check any previous dental work you have had is still in place and functioning as it should, and may take X-rays of your mouth. We may ask you questions about your hygiene routine at home, and advise any ways you could improve this to keep your teeth in the best condition.

4

Treatment plan

If we find anything that needs further treatment, we discuss your options and devise a treatment plan. This will include informing you of the number of appointments required, the treatment involved and expected costs.
