Award Winning Staff

We have had a number of staff from Kendrick View Dental Practice receive awards as recognition for their work inside and outside of the practice.

We would like to congratulate our housekeeper Everette for not only being nominated for The Community Champion Award at The Pride of Reading Awards but also winning. Evie, as she is known by many of her friends, helps run Three Cooks at The Shack on Cintra Park Pavilion. She provides and serves the elderly with hot meals, biscuits, cupcakes and a pot of tea/coffee. ‘A chance to make new friends and be spoilt for a while’ is the Three Cooks aim. They have also run a pensioner’s lunch, providing a 3 course meal at St Agnes Church in Reading.

The Three Cooks received their award last week at The Madejski Stadium following a congratulatory video from Antony Worrell Thomson. We are all very proud of Everett and the work she does for the community.

Congratulations go to Mark also, who recently won The Prestige Cup at the Annual Meeting of the British Society for Occlusal Studies. His winning case presentation was of a patient with two damaged front teeth who wanted to improve their appearance. The case proved to be much more complex than the patient realised but in the end she was really happy with the result.
As well as winning the cup, which is proudly on display in his room, Mark also received a cheque for £500 to put towards the cost of travel to a conference abroad. Mark intends to use it for a trip to Chicago next year, to the American Equilibration Society and the Chicago Midwinter meetings.
