Kiran acquired his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Semmelweis University, graduating with Latin honours. During initial general practice posts, his passion for clinical dentistry fuelled the pursuit of intensive post – graduate training. |
Being a friendly and caring professional, patients have commented on the calm and approachable persona they encounter. He courteously accepts patients from all aspects of restorative evidence – based dentistry. Mark has had the pleasure of getting to know Kiran and can recommend him as a ‘’kind, sympathetic, likeable young man who is dedicated to providing the highest standards of dental care. He’s young, enthusiastic, shares my philosophy about dentistry and, like me, and believes in the importance of continuing education. Kiran and his wife, who is also a dentist, are planning to move to Reading in the near future’’. Aside from clinical practice, Kiran enjoys travelling, photography, and spending time with his family. |
He has since embarked on the MSc in restorative Dental Practice at the world – renowned Eastman Dental Institute, London. It is here that he has been repetitively elected liaison representative for his cohort, with remarkable success. Commitments to furthering education led to the Royal College of Surgeons (England) awarding him a membership of the Joint Dental Faculties.|
CLINIPAD PATIENCE You may of been handed a Clinipad (tablet) when in for your appointments recently. The CQC (Care Quality Commission) will inspect as to whether we operate a safe premises and with this in mind a new system has been implemented so we can keep up to date with your medical history and contact details every 6 months. We would like to thank all our patients for their patience with the new Clinipads and for any inconvenience in asking you to come in earlier for your appointments. |

NEW STAFF
We like to re-invest in young people at Kendrick View and with that in mind we would like to welcome our newest member of the team, Jessica Rackley. Jessica will be working as a trainee dental nurse, working towards her qualification – City in Guilds National Diploma Level 3 in Dental Nursing. Jessica attended Littleheath Secondary School and decided in a career in dental nursing after passing her exams. Working previously at a local practice in Reading, she has decided to further her learning at a larger practice. Socialising, swimming and walking her dog are some of Jessica’s hobbies outside of work. We look forward to working with her and supporting her throughout her exams and future career. |

BABY NEWS
Dr Andrew McDonnell introduces his newest addition to the McDonnell family, Georgia. She was born on the 5th December 2017, weighing 7lb 13oz. Both Jennifer (Andrew’s wife) and Georgia are doing well and Alfie is very excited to have a little sister. |

STAFF NEWS
This year we are pleased to support our receptionist Amy Perchard in her participation of the Reading Half Marathon. She is running for a charity very close to her heart, on behalf of her Nan, as she was sadly diagnosed with this disease in summer 2017. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia. Alzheimer’s disease, named after the doctor who first described it (Alois Alzheimer), is a physical disease that affects the brain. There are more than 520,000 people in the UK with Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer’s is a progressive disease. This means that gradually, over time, more parts of the brain are damaged. As this happens, more symptoms develop. They also become more severe.
Amy has been training regularly each week in preparation and we all wish Amy the best of luck in the upcoming event. You can do it!! We are so pleased to announce that Nicole Gammell has passed her Dental Nursing examination. Nicole joined us new to the dental world and her hard work and dedication has paid off. Well done Nicole! |
