Curodont: Fillings with no drilling

In recent years, dental care has seen a significant shift with the introduction of innovative products designed to tackle a range of common oral health issues. At Kendrick View we are always researching into the latest preventive techniques and one such ground-breaking product is Curodont.

This product stands out in the oral care market due to its unique formulation and technology that work to actively remineralize teeth and combat early-stage cavities. Kendrick View are very proud to be one of the first dental practices in the UK to be able to offer this product to our patients.

What is Curodont?

Curodont is a topical dental gel designed to help prevent and even reverse early dental caries (cavities). It is the result of years of research and collaboration between experts in the fields of dentistry and biotechnology.

The key to Curodont’s effectiveness lies in its active ingredient: Hydroxyapatite nanocrystals. Hydroxyapatite is a naturally occurring mineral found in tooth enamel and bones. In Curodont, these nanocrystals are designed to bond with the enamel, strengthening it from within. The product can be applied directly to the affected areas of your teeth, where it works to remineralize and restore enamel, particularly in areas where it has been weakened by acid erosion or initial cavities.

How Does Curodont Work?

When a cavity starts to form, the enamel on the affected tooth begins to lose minerals through a process called demineralization. Curodont helps reverse this by replenishing lost minerals, specifically calcium and phosphate, through its formulation of nano-hydroxyapatite. The nanocrystals contained in the gel bond to the tooth surface and begin the remineralization process, repairing enamel and making it more resistant to future decay.

Applying Curodont is simple: the gel is gently massaged onto the teeth, particularly in areas with early-stage cavities, and left to work overtime. The treatment is designed to be easy to use and integrate into your daily oral care routine, making it accessible to those who want to improve their oral health without the need for invasive procedures.

The Benefits of Using Curodont

1. Prevents and Reverses Early Cavities: Curodont can prevent the progression of cavities by remineralizing enamel before decay worsens, which can ultimately save you from costly and painful dental treatments.

2. Non-Invasive: Unlike traditional fillings or other dental treatments that require drilling and injections, Curodont offers a non-invasive alternative. This makes it a desirable option for those who wish to avoid more intensive procedures.

3. Strengthens Enamel: The hydroxyapatite nanocrystals in Curodont not only help repair weak spots but also make the enamel more resistant.

Josephine’s Study Club

It was with great pleasure that we hosted our first study club of 2025 at Kendrick View in January. Our in-house periodontist (gum disease specialist), Josephine Bayliss-Chapman, hosted the evening for a group of clinicians from around the area as well as members of the Kendrick team. Across the evening she discussed advanced and the latest ways of managing progressed gum disease both surgically and non-surgically as well as how to hopefully prevent it from occurring in the first place! It was a great opportunity to bring together like-minded colleagues in the Berkshire community and the first of many study days we plan to host over the course of the year.

Car Parking

We would like to sincerely apologise for the recent inconvenience caused by the difficulty in parking at our practice. Unfortunately, due to an issue with the stone distribution in our car park, navigating the area has become more challenging than usual. Please know that we are aware of the situation and are actively working to resolve it as quickly as possible.

Your comfort and convenience are important to us, and we appreciate your understanding and patience during this time. If you require any assistance or have concerns regarding parking, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team.

Thank you for your continued trust in our practice.
