Q: Why use dental floss?

No matter how good your brushing technique, you won’t be able to remove all the plaque which sticks interdentally – ‘between the teeth’. So you need some other method to reach this plaque.

Floss, tape, interdental bottle brushes and single-tufted brushes can all be useful but you should see a hygienist or your dentist to be shown how to use these products properly.
