Your first consultation appointment with us, your dentist will thoroughly examine your teeth, gums, and the rest of your mouth, taking X rays where necessary. We find we can gain a lot of useful information from our Trophypan digital x-ray. This is an x-ray of all your teeth and your jaws. Being digital, we can view the x-ray on a computer and gain lots of extra information. Sometimes your dentist will also take photographs.

This appointment is much longer than our normal examination appointment to allow you time to discuss and plan the future care of your mouth. It is also a good time for you to raise any issues about the health or appearance of your teeth and gums, which may concern you. Most of our patients benefit from regular visits to one of our dental hygienists. Your dentist will let you know whether this will help your gum health.
