We take an impression or mould of your teeth and gums. From this a special mouth guard is made to fit precisely over your teeth. At your next appointment, about a week later, we check the fit of this mouth guard. It is very thin and comfortable to wear. We will supply you with whitening gel and show you how to use it.
For best results you should treat your teeth every day. At home you should thoroughly clean and floss your teeth before each session. A small amount of the whitening gel is then applied into the mouth guard. Squeeze out any excess with your finger. The mouth guard should be worn for a minimum of 3 hours but can be worn overnight if you prefer.
Initial results begin to show after approximately 7 days, or sometimes sooner. We like to whiten the top teeth first and then the bottom teeth after so that you can see how well it is working.
